A usable product is defined as a user-friendly product that is capable of providing an effective, efficient and satisfactory experience. Today, the concept of usability is started to be seen as evaluation and design of user experience with a multi-dimensional approach.
In its broadest sense, usability and ergonomics may be regarded as humanizing and shaping technology in accordance with users’ needs, expectations and capabilities. Regardless of level of technology, complex systems that challenge individuals’ cognitive resources may benefit from usability studies. Therefore, altough usability is an activity where evaluation and design of interfaces are central; organizations, services, documents and even buildings may be studied with user-centered techniques. |
